Capoeira is a Brazilian martial art rich in culture, which combines kicks and acrobatic movements to music and song to form a playful fight/game. Developed by slaves in Brazil, it is now present on every continent on the globe!

Learning Capoeira will bring you into full contact with an assortment of martial arts techniques, elements of dance, and most importantly music, making Capoeira a truly unique martial art! Adult classes are suitable for all ages and all levels of ability.

Mestre Gato, one of the founder members of Grupo Senzala, has been teaching in Scotland since 2007. His son, Mestre Pedro Gatuno, started the group in 2000 and moved to Cambridge in 2006 but continues to support Capoeira in Scotland.

Other classes available in Edinburgh, Dundee and St. Andrews.
